Melanie Michon

Dawg House Manager

Melanie Michon has joined the All Dawgs team as our new Dawg House Manager.  In her new role, Melanie will manage the daycare, pet sitting and boarding services, manage employees and help with client relations.

Prior to joining All Dawgs, Melanie owned and managed Happy Trails Animal Care, founded in 2008, a pet sitting, dog walking business in Dutchess and Columbia Counties.  As the business owner, Melanie managed day-to-day operations including management of the pet sitters and dog walkers, client relations and retention, marketing and all aspects of business development.

Melanie has a Bachelor of Science degree in Communications from Syracuse University and attended NWCT Community College to become a Veterinary Technician.  Melanie brings her experience as a former Veterinary Technician to her role with All Dawgs, and is certified in CPR and pet first aid.  Melanie is also the Volunteer Coordinator for the Saratoga Driving Association Fall Horse Driving Trial, the Newsletter Editor for the Hudson Valley Ski Club and has fostered dogs for local animal shelters.

Melanie says that animals are her passion, and that they bring joy to her every day.  Melanie is the owner of Chloe, a 7-year-old Pitbull mix rescued as a 3-month-old puppy who loves to swim and hike with her.  Melanie also owns Connor, a 10-year-old Rat Terrier rescue, who is blind and has other special needs.  Connor loves to kayak and go on walks in the woods with Melanie.

In her spare time, Melanie loves music, hiking, kayaking and skiing, and is also politically active and volunteers with local campaigns.  She is a lifelong equestrian who owned a Morgan gelding for 15 years, rode dressage and drove cart/carriage.

We are very happy to have Melanie as part of the All Dawgs team!
