Apprentice Dawgs

Do you want your dog to listen to you, obey your commands and behave appropriately in challenging situations?  If so, the All Dawgs Apprentice Dawgs class is perfect for you both!   This is the first step in a lifelong journey that will benefit both you and your dog.

Your dog is depending on you to help him or her learn how to behave properly. You know what you want your dog to do, but do you know how to clearly and consistently communicate this to achieve the results you want? If this is your goal, we recommend taking the All Dawgs Apprentice Dawgs class.  We’ll teach you everything you need to know, with trainer-led demonstrations and interactive hands-on exercises that will give you the tools you need to train your dog in real time.

Class Covers:

  • Good manners and basic obedience like sit, down, come when called, drop it, and leave it. Please note: loose leash walking is covered in our intensive three-week mini-class Who’s Walking Who.
  • An introduction to dog training theory and practice that will prepare you for our more advanced obedience and sports courses.
    • How to identify and improve your dog’s specific issues.
    • Training techniques for future use.

Class Info:

  • Who: Dogs five months and older, and dogs younger than five months who have completed our Puppy Dawgs class. We also recommend our Dawgie Daycare for Small Dawgs, Big Dawgs and Giant Dawgs for socialization and to help expend your dog’s energy!
  • Where: All Dawgs, 30 Railroad Ave, Albany, NY
  • When: Next class starts:
    • Monday, January 6th at 7 PM
    • Thursday, January 9th at 7 PM
    • Please do not bring your dog on the first night of class
