Dog Trainer
All Dawgs is seeking a reliable, hardworking, team player to join our staff as a full time experienced dog trainer for pet owners for our 5,500 SF facility in Albany, New York.
Our Dog Trainers’ responsibilities include:
- Teaching group dog-training classes to a variety of dog breeds, ages and sizes
- Teach one-on-one private lessons
- Assist with occasional company events
- Client education and promotion of merchandise, fundraisers and other services
- Care for and train pet dogs through our Boarding School program
The successful candidate will have:
- Minimum one year of personal and/or professional dog training experience
- Know and be able to identify stress signals of a dog
- Know and be able to demonstrate prong collar fitting
- Balanced dog training philosophy
Preferred Experience
- 1 year aggression modification experience
- 6 months experience in the use of electronic collars
Up to 40 hours a week. Hours for this position are from 6:45 PM to 10 PM Monday through Thursday and 9 AM to 5 PM on Saturday and Sunday. Remaining hours are flexible.

Assistant Dog Trainer
All Dawgs is seeking a reliable, experienced assistant dog trainer.
Our assistant dog trainers’ responsibilities include:
- Assist with running group dog-training classes Monday through Thursday evenings and on Saturday mornings
- Assist with occasional company events
- Help set-up equipment for classroom preparation
- Help prepare store items and appropriate paperwork
- Client education and promotion of store items, merchandise, fundraisers and other services
The successful candidate with have the following attributes:
- At least six months of personal and/or professional dog training experience. If your experience is not listed on your resume, please include it in your cover letter. Applications will not be considered without this experience.
- Ability to explain and demonstrate dog training commands to clients
- Be able to lift 50 pounds
- Have a smartphone with the ability to download relevant applications for business use
Hours for this position are from 6:30 PM to 10 PM two to four times per week Monday through Thursday as well as Saturday morning. The position is approximately 8-12 hours each week.
