We look forward to working with you and your dog in Dawg-to-Human Modification Aggression lessons or an Evaluation at your house. Please note, we have a ‘no cancel’ policy for your lesson appointments. If you are unable to make the lesson, we ask that you please email your trainer, LuAnn Charbonneau Or Rob Pastor at least two (2) hours before your lesson as a courtesy so we are not waiting for you at your appointment.
Unfortunately, we can only wait for a client for 10 minutes from the start of an appointment time. After that, clients will be considered no show and trainers may leave the lesson site.
Evaluation Only:
There will be no training at the Evaluation. A written report will be e-mailed within 48 hours from the date of the Evaluation.
What to Expect at Your First Lesson:
Your trainer will call you when she arrives at your home prior to entering. She will confirm two layers of safety management are in place such as:
- Your dog is muzzled if required. Please work several times prior to your first lesson to muzzle train your dog. A video on muzzle training may be found at: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iPRgXX3pzfl
- Your dog is crated
- And/or your dog is behind a closed door, baby gate, etc.
You’ll need:
- Treats – Lots of soft, small high value treats. High value treats include REAL chicken, REAL steak, and REAL liver (NOT STORE BOUGHT TREATS). Your treats must be better than your dog reacting!
- A pouch or apron for dog treats/toys
- Nylon, cotton, or leather collar and a 3 to 4-foot leash. Retractable leashes are great for exercising dogs but not for training.
- Make sure your dog has a chance to relieve himself/herself before our lesson
